Data controller and Your Rights
The Imprint tells you who is responsible for data processing on this website and how to reach them. You have the right at any time to access, rectify, erase, and restrict your data, to receive your data in a portable format, to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 15–21 and 77 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you've given at any time, effective going forward.
Hosting
The core content of this website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM (Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf). I have a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with this provider under Art. 28 GDPR.
For e-learning samples, I additionally use Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg). Your data may also be processed on servers in the US. This is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as well as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified under it. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is also in place with this provider, which is automatically part of the AWS Service Terms.
As with any website, the server automatically collects technical data about your visit (e.g. IP address, browser type, time of access) in log files. The website also loads a few technical resources (e.g. for emoji rendering) from the WordPress.org CDN. The legal basis for both is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — my legitimate interest in a technically sound, well-performing website.
Cookies and Consent
This website uses the tool Real Cookie Bannerto obtain and document your consent to cookies and similar technologies in a legally compliant way. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).
Analysis and SEO
I use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). If you give your consent via the cookie banner, Google records how you move around the website — for example, which pages you visit or how long you stay. Your IP address is not stored permanently: Google uses it only briefly to determine your approximate location and then discards it.
Since I offer my website in German (learningdesignerin.de) and English (learningdesignerin.com), both domains are linked within Google Analytics (cross-domain tracking). This allows Google to recognize you as the same person when you switch between language versions and to continue your session seamlessly.
The tracking code is delivered via Google Tag Manager, which — like Google Analytics itself — only loads after you've given consent. Your data may be transferred to the US in this process. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; I also rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as an additional safeguard. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent via the cookie banner). Neither Google Tag Manager nor Google Analytics loads without your consent.
I also use Google Search Console by Google Ireland Limited, strictly for my own internal use as the site owner, to check whether Google can index my website correctly and which search terms lead visitors to it. This tool does not collect any personal data about you as a visitor. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in a technically discoverable website).
For search engine optimization, I use the Rank Math SEO Plugin. It does not set tracking cookies and does not collect personal data from visitors — it runs in the background of my content management system and shows me anonymized performance data in my dashboard. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in a technically optimized, easily discoverable website).
Newsletter and Contact Forms
For my newsletter, I use MailPoet. Delivery runs through the MailPoet Sending Service by Automattic Inc. Your email address is transferred to Automattic, safeguarded by a Data Processing Agreement and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via double opt-in when subscribing).
For contact inquiries, I use WPForms. You enter your name, email address, and message. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, where your inquiry relates to entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry).
To protect my forms from abuse, I use two different services depending on the form: Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited) for the newsletter sign-up, and Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, USA) for the contact form. Both check whether a submission comes from a human or from automated, abusive software, and transmit connection data and your IP address to the respective provider.
For Google reCAPTCHA, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — I deliberately rely on your consent rather than legitimate interest, since several German data protection authorities do not consider legitimate interest a sufficient basis for reCAPTCHA. As of April 2, 2026, Google acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR for reCAPTCHA, rather than as an independent controller. For Cloudflare Turnstile, I rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting my forms from abusive submissions), safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer of data to the US.
Embedded Content
I embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) using the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) — data is only transmitted to YouTube once you actively play a video. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via the cookie banner before playback).
The LinkedIn Button on this website is a static link, not an active social plugin — no data is transmitted when the page loads. Only clicking the button takes you to LinkedIn, where LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies.
The "Book a Discovery Call" button is also a static link to an external appointment booking page from Google Calendar. No data is transmitted when this website loads. Only clicking the button takes you to Google, where you enter your own appointment details (e.g. name, email address) and Google's privacy policy applies.
Multilingual Content
This website offers content in German and English. For this, I use a mix of my own manually created translations and TranslatePress AI, a translation service provided by SC Reflection Media SRL (Str. Armoniei, nr. 23A, Timișoara, Romania). TranslatePress AI automatically routes text to different translation engines depending on content and language (e.g. Google Translate, DeepL, Microsoft Translator, or AI language models such as Gemini or GPT) — which engine is used in any given case is not always visible even to me as the site operator. In this process, content may also be transferred to providers outside the EU. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing multilingual, easily accessible content).
