Hi! I'm Teresa, originally from Mexico and have lived in Germany for many years. I love languages, illustrations, stories, and learning.
For a long time, wanted to be a graphic designer, but ultimately chose to focus on languages. That path brought me to Germany after I completed my degree in foreign language education.
Language learning is fundamentally about understanding how people construct meaning and communicate—just like design. Because of that, my desire to create clear, purposeful, and engaging layouts never truly faded. To me, visual design is structure, communication, and storytelling combined.
Storytellin has always shaped how I see the world. Growing up in church, I knew the biblical parables by heart. Later, Latin American literature and movies in Spanish class gave me new perspectives: the mix of realism, fantasy, humor, and a certain rawness captivated me. Today, I see that same effect in the stories I read with my son, watching how deeply he connects with them.
When I realized that storytelling is such a powerful tool for anchoring ideas and messages in memory, I stopped treating it as just a hobby and began studying it systematically. I wanted to understand the exact mechanics behind why stories have such a profound impact on how humans process and retain information. My degree in cultural studies marked a definitive turning point; it gave me the structural tools to view culture not simply as a static background, but as a dynamic system. Over time, I found the practical application for this systemic view in design thinking: uncovering user needs, engaging in active dialogue and co-creation, and developing pragmatic, actionable solutions.
